Boston area based, early development stage, venture backed client in the open stack database-as-a-service space went through a significant changes in the business model which not only required a different sales and business development leader, but one who could be a strong business partner to the CEO.   In addition, because of the small team in place, mostly made up of engineers and founders, it was critical that the candidate “fit” chemically with the team.

Working with the CEO, team and board Matlin Partners was able to understand the unique requirements that would be needed from the executive and map those requirements in the executive search process ultimately finding a top candidate experienced in the technology, space, management experience and fit.

The result has been to become a true business partner to the CEO, forging new relationships and stronger bonds with existing customers and business development partners.
